Launch of Godudu.com
On October 15, 2011, at Burj Al Arab Hotel in Dubai, UAE, took place the official launch of Godudu.com – the world’s first multilingual social network, where Internet users from all over the world can communicate in languages that are available in the project by using a self-improving system that translates phrases from one language into another.
By September 2011 the number of registered Godudu users has reached 1 million. The project was also noted by International Business Awards and won two International Stevie Awards for “Best New Product or Service of the Year – Media & Entertainment” and “Best Software Programming/Design” and became an honoree in “Most Innovative Company of the Year in the Middle East and Africa” and “Company of the Year — Media”.
During the entertainment program of the launch there was performance of Palladium Electric Band with the hits from their new album Taboo including the track DuDu which was created especially for the launch of the company. There was also a performance of famous Russian singer Anita Tsoy whose latest video featured some elements of godudu.com web-site.
Among the honourables that attended the launch at Burj Al Arab there were members of ruling families of Al Nahyan (Abu Dhabi) and Al Maktoum (Dubai), president and prime-minister of Dagestan Republic (Russia), ambassadors and diplomats from other countries, representatives of local and international businesses, and world’s renowned celebrities. After-party with gala dinner was hosted at Al Falak ballroom at Burj Al Arab. Guests were entertained by the performance of Sculer Band and Palladium Electric Band. Dynamic rhythms of the band cheered-up the dancing mood, and gave no chance stand still.
